Opened on August 18, 1927 along the Monon Railroad tracks. Rumor has it that John Dillinger would hang out at the Monon and drink in the lobby. It closed in 1977, and then housed numerous restaurants. In 2017, two Indianapolis%u2019 Pike Township firemen opened the Backstep Brewery in the building.Built in the 1890s. Torn down to make room for a drive-thru for the Elston Bank. Now the site of a CVS Pharmacy.
