Built in 1905 by Theodore F. Rose, it was the largest and most modern hotel in Muncie. It had more than 3,000 incandescent lights, and each room was equipped with a telephone. The basement contained two boilers, a large refrigerator, electric dynamo, heating plant, and laundry%u2014and the kitchen had a dishwashing machine capable of cleaning 6,000 dishes each hour. Demolished in 1970.
