                                    Built by Joseph Fitz in 1895. Other early proprietors included T.A. Wetherferd, and later C.B. Hostettler. It was one of the first hotels in the county to have indoor plumbing, and was later known as the Traveler%u2019s Hotel, %u201cHeadquarters for the Traveling Man.%u201d Now demolished, with the site occupied by a Dollar General store.In 1890, Lyman M. Brackett and Abner Barrett constructed the Arlington Hotel block on the east side of Main Street, with 50 guest rooms and a dining room that seated 200. Lyman%u2019s son owned the property when the portion of the block not occupied by the hotel was destroyed by fire on January 25, 1956. The hotel closed in 1962 and became Wile%u2019s Department store, which burned in 1975 and was replaced by a new building.
