Opened on June 19, 1920. Besides a restaurant decorated in the Art Nouveau style, the hotel boasted 51 guest rooms and had numerous year-round residents. Destroyed by fire in September 1956.Erected in 1921 with 150 rooms. Managed by W. C. Vierbuchen, former manager of the Palmer House in Chicago. The housekeeper was Mrs. T. M. Smith, previously with the St. Charles in New Orleans. The hotel offered accommodations for conventions, business gatherings, and parties of any size, and operated on the European plan only. Was closed in 1966, and razed in 1979 along with other buildings in the vicinity.
