Designed by architect Ralph Morrison Snyder in 1908, and built as Portland Apartments by Edward Craw. In 1914, Edward%u2019s son, George R. Craw, converted it into the Portland Hotel Apartments, which became the Hotel Allen in 1926. The building was sold to Don Stinson in the 1960%u2019s, who converted it back into apartments. In August 2004, it was purchased by the Allen County Public Library, and the building was razed to become the library%u2019s parking lot.
