Opened in May 1908, the 250-300 guest rooms had a sink with hot, cold and ice water, with most rooms offering either a half or full bath. It shared a brick wall with the Emboyd Theater (now the Embassy Theater). The hotel closed in 1971 but some parts of the building have been restored and remain occupied.
