April-May 2007, Monroe County History Center, Bloomington, IN.

This solo exhibit will feature photographs from John Bower's latest book: After the Harvest, Indiana's Historic grain elevators and feed mills. The exhibit will run from April 3, 2007 through May 19, 2007. The History Center is located at 202 East 6th Street in Bloomington. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. In conjunction with the above exhibit, John Bower will be giving a slide presentation about his work at Monroe County History Center on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 7 PM. There will be a reception and book signing just prior to the presentation, from 6 PM to 7 PM, with refreshments and music, and time to view the exhibit. John's presentation is titled "Capturing the Soul of Indiana—A celebration of our overlooked cultural heritage" and is a part of the History Center's Third Thursday Program series.

July 2007, National Speleological Society Annual Convention, Marengo, IN

Lynn Bower will be judging the art exhibit at the National Speleological Society's Annual Convention, which will be held in Marengo, IN from July 23-27, 2007. The Convention will be held at the Crawford County 4H Fairgrounds and the Crawford County High School,both of which are locates south of the town of Marengo.

August 13, 2007, Putnam County Public Library, Greencastle, IN

This solo exhibit will feature photographs from John Bower's latest book: After the Harvest, Indiana's Historic grain elevators and feed mills. The exhibit will run from Saturday September 29, 2007 through Thursday November 15, 2007. It will be set up in the atrium of the Central Library, which is located at 200 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Evansville. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 9 PM, on Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM, and on Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM. The Library's phone number is 812-428-8200.

In conjunction with the above exhibit, John Bower will be giving a slide presentation about his work at the Evansville Vanderburgh Central Library on Sunday, October 14 at 2 PM. This presentation is titled "Capturing the Soul of Indiana—A celebration of our overlooked cultural heritage." There will also be a book signing afterwards.

October 2007-January 2008, South Bend Regional Museum of Art, South Bend, IN

John Bower will have 12 photographs from his After the Harvest book in a group exhibition entitled "Flatland: Imaging the Midwest" at the South Bend Regional Museum of Art from October 20, 2007 to January 6, 2008. There will be a reception on Friday December 7, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM. This exhibit focuses on the way in which contemporary artists based in the Midwest incorporate and reflect the environment in which they are living and working. The exhibit will feature works in painting, printmaking, photography, installation, and video by local and regional artists, and will showcase a variety of takes on the idea of the physical and cultural landscape of the Midwest. The South Bend Regional Museum of Art is located at 120 S. St. Joseph Street in South Bend. The museum's phone number is 574-235-9102. November 7, 2007, Greentown Historical Society, Greentown, IN

John Bower will be giving a slide presentation about his work at the Greentown Historical Society in on Wednesday evening, November 7, 2007. This is the Annual Meeting of the Greentown Historical Society but the public is invited. There will be a meal served at 6:30 PM and John's slide presentation will be afterwards. The title of his presentation will be "Capturing the Soul of Indiana—A celebration of our overlooked cultural heritage" and there will also be a book signing. This event will be held at the Jerome Christian Church, which is located at 9535 E. 100 S., which is about 3 miles north of Greentown, in Howard County.
