She later worked at the Lily Dale Spiritualist Camp in New York, and was a missionary-at-large for the National Spiritualist Association Churches. She sometimes performed blindfolded, or utilized a trumpet for spirits to speak through. She also levitated objects, or made objects materialize, and once apologized to a patron, saying she couldn%u2019t establish communication with his departed friend because the words were %u201cin very broken English.%u201d
