Nuclear Weapons of the Atomic AgeHarry Gold, Soviet spy (December 13, 1950 rubber-stamped on reverse), with John Gercke, deputy U.S. MarshallGold was convicted of passing atomic secrets from Klaus Fuchs to the Soviet Union during World War II. He also served as a government witness against spies Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, who were executed in 1953. Gold served 15 years in prison, and returned to work as a clinical chemist after his release.
