                                    Built in 1898 with 36 rooms and a 130-seat dining room. The hotel is part of Fountain Park, a 17-acre facility that has been the site of a Chautauqua since 1895, and holds one the few remaining Chautauqua%u2019s in the country. The park includes a tabernacle, recreational building, and seventy cottages.Built by Dr. George E. Denny in 1924 with Edward Pierre of Indianapolis as architect, and Louis Sailor as construction superintendent. It was described as %u201cnear as fireproof as possible,%u201d with a dining room having the capacity for 200 people. After being destroyed by a devastating fire on December 15, 1964, a new Hillside Inn opened in the summer of 1966, which was extensively remodeled in 2005.
