Its mission was eventuallyexpanded to include patients of all ages with various developmental disabilities. Demolished in 1952.Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Childrens%u2019 Home%u2014%u2014Knightstown, Indiana%u2014%u2014Established 1864Founded to provide care, education, and maintenance for orphaned and destitute children of Civil War Union Armyveterans. It eventually boasted an administration building, children%u2019s dormitory cottages, Morton Memorial School, a hospital,dairy farm, camp grounds, and recreational facilities.
