Pylons, Hall of Science and Science Building, WF-33The north entrance to the Hall of Science is approached by a great ramp extending from the Avenue of Flags. Here rises a monumental crescent of pylons, twelve of them rising 59 ft. above the second floor terrace of the Hall. From here the Science Bridge crosses to the Electrical Group on Northerly Island.J.O. Stoll Co. SeriesFederal Building and Hall of States, WF-31The Federal Building with its exhibits cost $1,000,000, and it is 620 ft. long by 300 wide, with a rotunda 70 ft. in diameter, surmounted by a 75 ft. dome, around which are grouped three fluted towers 150 ft. high, typifying the three branches of the government. The Hall of States, a great horseshoe-shaped building, rises juxtapose to and has two arms 500 ft. across and 140 ft. wide at the widest point.
