Red Menace, No. 6Red Menace was an independent comic book released by Wildstorm Productions in a total of six monthly issues in 2007. Its story is set in 1953 Los Angeles during Joseph McCarthy%u2019s House Un-American Activities Committee trials. At one of the trials a masked hero, The Eagle, reveals himself to be a World War II veteran named Steve Tremaine. Because Tremaine had a friendship with a Soviet hero during the war, he is branded a communist, and newspapers promptly refer to him as Red Menace. But he continues to use his secret identity as The Eagle to sneak out at night and fight crime. This (last) issue features a nuclear explosion on the cover.
