Little is known about Reimann, but he is believed to have lived in West Virginia, and to have produced cachets between 1947 and 1963. Most of his covers are addressed to himself, in either pencil or typed, but this one is an unusual exception.Bert, a stamp dealer in Pittsburg, PA, created covers with no cachet.But they are distinct, due to their small size, 51/2 by 31/8 inches. Born in 1905, he established his business at 18 and serviced covers into the 21st century. When he closed his Pittsburgh store in 1996, it was the nation%u2019s oldest First Day Cover service. He died in 2007 at the age of 102.
