Vintage Postcards of Indiana Health FacilitiesMargaret Mary Hospital%u2014%u2014Batesville, Indiana%u2014%u2014Established 1932Founded by the Sisters of the Poor of St. Francis and named in honor of the two chief benefactors,Mrs. Margaret Hillenbrand and her daughter Mrs. Mary Mitchell.Home Hospital%u2014%u2014Lafayette, Indiana%u2014%u2014Established 1895In 1869, a 5-bed Home of the Friendless was opened for those who couldn%u2019t care themselves. In 1895 it was named Lafayette Home Hospital, and in 1901 it was expanded into a 42-bed two-story facility. A 3rd floor was added in 1905, and it continued to expand for 40 years. Home Hospital merged with St. Elizabeth Hospital in 1998. It was closed in 2010, and was demolished in 2013.Hospitals
