Vintage Postcards of Indiana Health FacilitiesGood Samaritan Hospital%u2014%u2014Kokomo, Indiana%u2014%u2014Established 1913Opened by the Sisters of St. Joseph in a house with 12 beds, the sisters relocated to this newbuilding in 1914, and stayed until they opened Saint Joseph%u2019s Memorial Hospital in 1936Harrell Hospital and Sanitarium%u2014%u2014Noblesville, Indiana%u2014%u2014Established 1909Erected with 16 rooms by Dr. Samual Harrell at a cost of $35,000. He sold the hospital to the county in 1914,making it the first hospital in Indiana owned by a county, and it was renamed the Hamilton County Hospital.It remained in this building until the new Riverview Hospital was opened on May 12, 1951, with a new86-bed, $1-million facility.
