CAM-24S2%u2014%u2014December 28, 1929%u2014%u2014Indianapolis to Cincinnati, OH.The significance of the date on this cover (and the one on the next page) is unknown today, although it must have been noteworthy to both the airline and to philatelists. The two covers were signed by different pilots, indicating different flights, of which there were three a day at that time. Signed by pilot Warren Ringgold %u201cSquabby%u201d Vine (photo below), who married Lady Ruth Ogle aboard a Fairchild monoplane 10,000 feet above Nashville, Tennessee on August 27, 1928. Lady Ruth%u2019s father Rev. S.B. Ogle officiated while Squabby piloted the plane during the ceremony. George A. Zimmerman (photo below) began collecting stamps in 1892, was an avid air-mail enthusiast, and was a Director of the American Air Mail Society in 1930. The luggage sticker on the back was for a different route (CAM-30 flown by Interstate Airlines) that didn%u2019t service Indianapolis.
