The Trail of Religion was built in 1940 in the common area of the camp. Set into a hillside, it is designed to be viewed from the east. It features a stone semicircle with busts of the leaders of the world%u2019s primary religions, and a separate bust of Jesus that is centrally located. The Egyptian Osiris is at the center of the semi-circle. To his right are Zoroaster, Abraham, Mohammed, and Zeus. To the left of Osiris are Lao-Tse, Buddha, Confucius, and Vardhammana, the founder of Jainism. Each of these religious figures faces toward the bust of Jesus.Unknown publisher, but attributed to Forkner%u2019s Studio, Anderson, Indiana. Kodak photographic paper post-1950 vintage. #567.
