LANCOPEX %u201808, the 23rd Annual Stamp Show and Exhibition of the Philatelic Society of Lancaster County (PSLC), was a 2-day event held at the Farm & Home Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It consisted of exhibits, a show, a bourse, meetings, and awards. This cover was created for the event with a special cachet cancellation honoring Lancaster native John Wise and his balloon Jupiter.The PSLC began as the Lancaster Stamp Club in March 1923 with fifteen charter members. It is affiliated with the American Philatelic Society and the American Topical Association.Early club correspondence.
