A modified version was produced after about 6 months, to make it easier to print on the Giori Press which had problems printing the undivided gutter between the design and the denomination of the earlier stamp.The 25%u00a2 Abraham Lincoln stamp was issued for Air Mail heading to Asia, Australia, and most of Africa. The 13%u00a2 Liberty Bell stamp was issued when the International Air Mail rate increased to Central and South America, the West Indies, Bermuda, and Saint Pierre & Miquelon.The 17%u00a2 Statue of Liberty stamp was released when the International Air Mail was increased for a half-ounce letter to South America and adjacent countries.
