National Air Mail Week Covers of Indianaas their subject. A million copies of the rules were distributed to every high school and post office in the country. And a half-million students submitted entries, with William A. Crowley of Mt. St. Francis being the Indiana winner. More than a hundred prizes were awarded, including trophies, and each state%u2019s essay winner won an airplane trip to Washington, DC, with the Grand Winner flying coast-to-coast and back.To get everyone even more enthused, thousands of communities across the country staged local NAMW celebratory events.
