Spartan cachets were produced by Harold Phares Jr., who lived in Sparta, NJ. He made his first cachet in 1940, his last in 1950, and most utilized a thermographic ink dried raised and shiny. Some of his covers were made under the Guildcraft name, and were signed with a %u201cG%u201d in a circle.Adler%u2019s covers are quite sought after. She lived in San Antonio, Texas, and prduced most of her cachets from 1936 until the mid-1940s, so this design is one of her last. Her real name was Gladys Edmiston.
