It expanded in 1950 to house 40 additional residents, then it movedto a third location in 1989. It continues to serve as Lutheran Life Villages.Orphans Home%u2014%u2014Logansport, Indiana%u2014%u2014Established 1882The Orphan%u2019s Home was organized on February 1870, but it wasn%u2019t until 1882 that the Orphan%u2019s HomeAssociation purchased this 1867 house for $2,500, then spent $500 on improvements. It had been the home ofAttorney Lewis Chamberlain who had vacated it because his wife did not like living so far away from the town.Homes and Orphanages
