The Maxon Cafeteria was built on that site in 1955 during the last phase of Rev. Mable Riffle%u2019s major construction at the camp. It is a full-service dining facility and can host social events, receptions, and large meetings. Built with concrete block and a limestone-and-glass facade, its detailing ties it to the architecture of the Cathedral in the Woods and the Art Gallery. There are masonry support walls and steel joists for an open-plan interior. Marion Collins of Anderson was the architect.
