Notice the carillon-equipped tower, the rostrum at the right, the decorated cloth banner which serves as a background for the speaker, the three levels on which the structure is built and the entrance to the medical exhibit on the lower level. The Hall of Science, now under construction, is the fourth exposition building to be started. It will be 700 by 400 feet, two stories and a mezzanine in height, will rise from colored concrete terraces and will be decorated in white and gray, with a trimming of red and gold. At night it will be brilliantly illuminated by indirect and fluctuating colored flood lights. This structure will be located at Sixteenth St. and the lake, with part of the building extending directly across Leif Erickson Drive%u2014Chicago%u2019s famous waterfront boulevard.Hall of Science, WF-5, 1A2052.Hall of Science. Designed by Paul Cret, eminent Philadelphia architect, the structure will present the appearance of a metal and glass creation, rising from colored terraces, and brilliantly illuminated.
