Cachet by Boerger. Boerger (1911-2001) sometimes signed his cachets with ABC, which stands for Al Boerger Cachets. He employed Alton Weigel to design cachets, who also produced his own Artopages cachets. Compton was not one of the 305 cities that was provided with Project Mercury stamps, so they were likely purchased in either Inglewood, Long Beach, or Los Angeles, each of which was less than 20 miles away.
