Shagin.Published by IZOGIZ, 1961The Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNKh) is a huge exhibition park that is still popular in Moscow. It consists of numerous exhibition space, museums, and special events that take place regularly. First opened in 1939, it was designed for propaganda purposes to influence Soviet workers and farmers by showing them a City of the Future. Originally, it was to be temporary, but became a permanent venue. By 1989 the facility boasted 82 pavilions.
