                                    Nuclear Weapons of the Atomic AgeWarda Protest Stamp, 1995Mark Warda of Sphinx International, Inc. in Clearwater, Florida produced atomic-bomb Protest Stamps in several variations. The following examples are contained in this collection.The first design depicted a mushroom cloud, with most variations printed in red and black.A Miniature Sheet of 8 stamps, in 2 rows of 4. The top of the upper row and the bottom of the lower row were imperforate, with selvedge on the left and right sides only.A Miniature Sheet of 8 stamps, in 2 rows of 4, but printed in three colors: black, red, and blue. All four sides of the stamps were perforated, with selvedge around the entire perimeter.A Miniature sheet of 8 stamps, in 2 rows of 4, with a plate number at the bottom. All four sides of the stamps were perforated, with selvedge around the entire perimeter.A Miniature Sheet with 1 row of 4 stamps, perforated at the top, imperforate at the bottom, with selvedge on the top and sides only.An imperforate Miniature Sheet of 4 stamps, in 2 rows of 2 (with printed perforations). With text describing the Japanese surrender, and an explanation of how the U.S. decided not to release a stamp depicting a nuclear blast.A Miniature Sheet of 20 stamps, in 5 rows of 4, with selvedge on the sides and the top. The bottom of the lower row of stamps was imperforate. A second version was created which included plate numbers in the selvedge.The second design depicted the Enola Gay. printed in blue and black.A Miniature Sheet with 8 stamps, in 2 rows of 4. The bottom of the lower row of stamps was imperforate. An imperforate Miniature Sheet of 4 stamps, in 2 rows of 2 (with printed perforations). The bottom of the lower row of stamps was imperforate. The third design a featured a mushroom cloud with text to the right, printed in violet and black.
