Interlibrary Loan is a service which allows a patron of one library to borrow books (or other items) from a different library. The patron makes a request at their home library, the home library requests the item, receives the item, and makes it available to the patron. The lending library will generally specify a due date, borrowing fee (if any), and overdue fee. The borrowing library is responsible for returning the item when the patron is finished with it.
