100A Field of Hudsonshile John and I were driving down a lonely road one evening, I spotted, far out in a field, what looked like rusting automobiles. As I focused my gaze, I could tell that they were indeed old cars%u2014perhaps Hudsons. This was exciting stuff, but the sun was setting, and it was too late to shoot anything this day, so I jotted down the address. We would definitely have to find our way back. And we did, several weeks later. After pulling into the gravel drive, we quickly scanned the assemblage of corroded vehicles, camouflaged by snaking vines and scrubby weeds. They were Hudsons all right. Unfortunately, there was no one at the house to give us permission to photograph them. John wrote a note and tucked it in the screen door.
