Miniature Sheet with one stamp depicting the Gwiazda Polski (star of Poland), a stratospheric balloon, commemorating its flight which was scheduled to lift off from the Chocholowski Valley on September 15. Due to several delays, it was rescheduled for October 14 when, without warning, the hydrogen balloon caught fire, and the flight never took place. Another flight, with a rebuilt Gwiazda Polski, was to take off the next year, on September 1, but was cancelled because of the German invasion of Poland.
