                                    145John Bower is a highly-acclaimed photographer of Indiana%u2019s often overlooked cultural heritage. Known for his ability to capture the essence of Indiana%u2019s rapidly fading past in poignant black-and-white, his compelling photographs have been exhibited in art centers, galleries, libraries, and historical museums throughout the state. Bower has produced two previous photography books (Lingering Spirit and Guardians of the Soul), and has twice been awarded an Individual Artist Grant by the Indiana Arts Commission.Michael Atwood has a passion for all things Indiana. Since 1990, he%u2019s been the popular host of WFYI Public Television%u2019s award-winning %u201cAcross Indiana%u201d%u2014a weekly, half-hour celebration of Hoosiers and Hoosierland. Behind the camera, he has worked as the show%u2019s producer, and on specials such as %u201cLong Journey Home%u201d (on Indiana%u2019s Delaware Indians). He is also actively involved in the hospice field as a bereavement coordinator.
