Indiana's Tree Stump Tombstones

This project us currently underway, and it doesn't yet have a completion date.

Indiana's Tree Stump Tombstones will deal with just that--tombstones in the shape of tree stumps. Some are short, like trees that have been chopped down, but others are 6-8' high.

Tree stump tombstones are an amazing form of folk art that was popular around the turn of the last century. They exist in each of Indiana's 92 counties, and some are amazingly detailed.

We've barely started on this project and don't yet have a publication date, so please stay tuned.
